Entomology master’s student Wade Pike was awarded a 2023 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. With his fellowship, Wade plans to continue his studies at UK and pursue a Ph.D. in entomology.

Wade served in the United States Marine Corps and credits his wife, Ashley, with motivating him to pursue higher education after his time in the military.

“I quickly fell in love with the process of doing science,” he said. “I hope that this cultivates into a career where I can become an educator of future aspiring entomologists.”
