National Cancer Institute Fellowships

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) supports fellowships, research career development awards, and training/education research in all areas of cancer research, including cancer prevention, control, behavioral sciences, population sciences, and translational research, at universities and institutions across the country.

National Institute on Drug Abuse Summer Research Internship Program

The National Institute on Drug Abuse's Summer Research Internship Program introduces students to the field of drug abuse and addiction research with NIDA funded scientists. 

Verne LaMarr Lyons Scholarship

The Verne LaMarr Lyons Memorial Scholarship is awarded to master's degree candidates in social work who demonstrate an interest in or have experience with health/mental health practice and have a commitment to working in African American communities.

Tylenol Scholarship Program

The Tylenol Future Care Scholarship Program helps students who are pursuing degrees in healthcare. Winners will receive awards up to $10,000 to offset the cost of tuition.

Travelers Summer Research Fellowship

The Travelers Summer Research Fellowship Program is designed to give 25 premedical students meaningful insights into the field of medicine, with a focus on conditions that greatly affect the health of traditionally underserved populations. By engaging in laboratory or clinical research, under the supervision of a faculty member, the TSRF participants learns how to investigate a specific research question.

Stowers Summer Scholars Program

The Stowers Summer Scholars Program is an intensive research internship at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research for those interested in a research career. Scholars spend a minimum of 8-weeks over the summer conducting full-time research under the guidance and supervision of the laboratory head or a senior member of the lab.

National Student Nurses' Association Undergraduate Scholarship

Undergraduate scholarships are available through the National Student Nurses' Association to students currently enrolled in state-approved nursing programs leading to an associate degree, baccalaureate, diploma, direct-entry master’s degree, RN to BSN/MSN completion, LPN/LVN to RN, or accelerated programs.

National Institutes of Health Intramural Research Training Award

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Postbac Intramural Research Training Award program provides recent college graduates, who are planning to apply to graduate or professional school, to spend one or two years performing full-time research at the NIH. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and intend to apply to graduate or professional school.

National Institutes of Health Graduate Partnerships Program

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Intramural Training & Education (OITE) hosts the Graduate Partnerships Program (GPP), which is designed to bring PhD graduate students to the NIH Intramural Research Program for dissertation research.

National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program

The National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program awards scholarships to students pursuing eligible primary care health professions training. Eligible programs include medicine, nursing, dentistry, and physician assistant.
