Math for America

Math For America trains mathematically talented individuals to become high school math teachers. Fellows receive a stipend and full tuition scholarship to a master's level preparation program. Students should be math majors or candidates with significant math-related coursework in physical sciences, or engineering.

Marshall Scholarship

Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a graduate degree in the United Kingdom. Up to fifty Scholars are selected each year to study at the graduate level at a UK institution in any field of study.

Leonard M. Rieser Award

The Leonard M. Rieser Award is the capstone of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists’ Next Generation Program, created to ensure that new voices, steeped in science and public policy, have a trusted platform from which to address the world’s existential challenges. The Rieser Award was established to recognize outstanding emerging science and security experts passionate about advancing peace and security in our time.

American Chemical Society International Research Experiences for Students (IRES) Program

The American Chemical Society International Research Experience for Students (IRES) program is funded by the National Science Foundation to encourage talented young chemical and materials scientists to spend a summer conducting research in another country.

Hertz Foundation Fellowship

The Hertz Foundation awards fellowships to graduate students pursuing a PhD in the applied physical and biological sciences, mathematics, or engineering.

Gilman Scholarship

The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, thereby gaining skills critical to our national security and economic competitiveness.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship

The Gates Cambridge Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants to pursue a postgraduate degree in any subject at the University of Cambridge.

Fund for Education Abroad Scholarships

The Fund for Education Abroad provides funding for students studying abroad. Students must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and currently enrolled as an undergraduate at an institution in the U.S.

Explorers Club Rising Explorer Grant

The Explorers Club offers grants to students conducting scientific or exploration research projects.

Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The Hollings Scholarship Program provides successful undergraduate applicants with awards that include academic assistance (up to $9,500 per year) for two years of full-time study and a 10-week, full-time paid ($700/week) internship at a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) facility during the summer.
